1. INTRODUCTION Welcome to Alamoja Yoruba Online School (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing our website (alamojayoruba.com), enrolling in courses, or purchasing digital products, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using this site or our services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, students, and parents/guardians who access the Service.

2. DEFINITIONS

  • “Service” refers to the website, live classes (Adults, Kids, Reading School), the Yoruba Club, and digital downloads.
  • “Student” refers to the individual enrolled in the class.
  • “Guardian” refers to the parent or legal guardian enrolling a minor (under 18) in our services.

3. LEGAL ENTITIES & GOVERNING LAW This agreement is entered into with:

  • For International/USD Transactions: Alamoja Languages LLC (United States).
  • For Nigerian/Naira Transactions: Alámọ̀já Yorùbá (Nigeria).

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA (for international users) and the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (for Nigerian users), without regard to conflict of law principles.

4. ACCOUNTS & REGISTRATION To access course materials, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain the security of your password.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One Account Per User: Sharing login credentials with non-enrolled individuals is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination without refund.

5. PAYMENTS AND BILLING

  • Currency: Services are priced in USD ($) for international students and NGN (₦) for Nigerian residents.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via Stripe (International) and Paystack/Direct Bank Transfer (Nigeria).
  • Bank Transfers: Orders made via Bank Transfer are placed “On Hold” until payment is manually verified. Access is not granted until funds are received.
  • Recurring Memberships (Yoruba Club): Quarterly and Annual memberships are billed on a manual renewal basis. Access will be revoked if renewal payment is not received by the due date.

6. REFUND POLICY

  • Digital Products: Due to the downloadable nature of our workbooks and digital materials, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable.
  • Live Classes: Refunds for live classes are granted only if a request is made within 7 days of the initial payment, provided no more than one (1) class session has been attended.
  • Cancellations by Us: If we cancel a cohort or class series, a full refund will be issued.

7. ATTENDANCE & CANCELLATION (Private Classes)

  • 24-Hour Notice Rule: For 1-on-1 or Private Family sessions, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a class.
  • Late Cancellation/No-Show: If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or fail to show up, the session will be forfeited and counted as “completed.” No refund or credit will be given.
  • Lateness: Tutors will wait for 15 minutes. If the student does not join within 15 minutes, the session is considered a “No-Show.”

8. CODE OF CONDUCT We prioritize a safe and respectful learning environment. We have a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment, bullying, or hate speech towards tutors or other students.
  • Inappropriate behavior during live video sessions.
  • Recording sessions without explicit written consent. Violation: We reserve the right to terminate the enrollment of any student (or parent) violating this code, without refund.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY All content provided on the Service, including but not limited to workbooks, lesson plans, videos, logos, and course materials, is the intellectual property of Alamoja Languages LLC/Alámọ̀já Yorùbá.

  • License: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the content for personal, non-commercial use only.
  • Prohibition: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our materials.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alamoja Yoruba shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
